Stargazer Lily Resist Series Oval Vase

Oval Stargazer Lily Vase $45

An oval cylinder is thrown on the wheel and then paddled once it is leather hard into a flat oval shape. I love the idea of having a small oval opening on top to place 5-10 single stems in.

Icaboni flower arranging is very detailed and often practiced art form in Japan. I do not claim to be an expert but this elegant vase makes it simple to arrange a single stem or several stems easily. The pot make a simple yet elegant statement in the middle of the room.

Stargazer Lily Resist Series Large Bowl Sold $140

This 20 inch bowl is in a series called the Lily Resist Series. I've thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with the process of using red iron oxide to draw intricate lily patterns, trace with hot wax, and then coat with glaze to make a bold lily design.

Large Carved Red Vase $160

Clay is a pliable, amazing form of purified dirt. It is incredible what can come from a simple ball of lumpy clay. This particular from was thrown in 3 pieces, attached, thrown together, carved, and glazed. The many processes of creating a finished work of beautiful art. Like the master potter transforming us, an imperfect and awkward being into his image and using it for his works. How amazing is our amazing master potter? The true master potter.

Polka Dot Stoneware Vase $65

A piece that demands to make a statement and show it's character. This piece seems to radiate a smile and say 'here i am.'
Using matte versus shiny glazes and bare clay also defines the bold shape.

Pierced Vase Lantern a Study of Negative Space

Pierced Vase Lantern $70
Negative space is often neglected or not scene. The space surrounding an object or that is not occupied by shape or form.
I hope that the piercings in this delicate vase reveal a new form beyond what is normally scene and reflect a lit design that dances around the room.

The Pot of the Day

'The Pot of the Day' is a place to reveal the daily works of a passionate potter and the growing process of creating. I am excited to relay a space, the pot of the day, where I will share a new pot 6 days a week that I am designing. I hope you begin to also enjoy the processes and complexity of making pots and watching a master potter at work.
